Scope & Constraints

Kickoff stub. Non-goals prevent sprawl more effectively than goals. Fill this in the kickoff (answers Open Questions §2), then flip status: active. Delete each prompt as you answer it.

In scope (first milestone)

The smallest coherent thing that proves the thesis. This shapes the first product phase.

Out of scope (deliberate non-goals)

What we are NOT building, and why. The most valuable section — it's what a phase checks itself against when scope creeps.

Hard constraints

Fixed facts the project must live within — platform, timeline, budget, regulatory, technical. Distinct from choices: these aren't up for a structured challenge.

Assumptions

What we're taking as true without having proven it. The riskiest one is Open Question §3 — sequence phases to test it early.
